Golfo Aranci, an old fishing village, preserves its popular traditions by celebrating numerous religious and traditional festivals throughout the year. Among these, the feast of San Silverio on June 20, the patron saint of Ponza’s fishermen who arrived on this coast at the beginning of the century. It involves parading the Saint’s statue, in a procession, by boat . The fish festival, is also very popular, on August 14, a great folk festival that pays tribute to the excellent local fish product.
